History
The ablative armor is a prototype space armor designed for impact-heavy environments. It was used to battle an alien nanoplasm that had ruined the Tin Man Armor.

Capabilities
A kiln produces honey-comb shaped polymer tiles. These are held in place by a forcefield and replaced after impacted. Tiles can also be used as chaff or as projectiles.
It possesses repulsors and a uni-beam.

A bio-containment field prevents contamination of the armor or samples gathered.
